  • Wich cable set-up for TV OUT

Wich cable set-up should I use for TV-OUT on my G400 max?
My TV has a s-vhs input btw.

Could some please explain what the differences between the different options?

The cable from Matrox has a AV connector, and a S-VHS connector. Generally, S-VHS offers better picture than AV connector. So if you has S, use it
    (I haven't tried my DualHead...)

Cable provided with your Matrox G400DH can connect it throught VideoComposite or SVHS, but RGB cable (directly connected to your videocard, and without Matrox cable) is FAR better! Check here for RGB cable scheme for G400DH cards!

I have a RCA cable from the second head to my TV. (My TV has a line in.) But my TV has also a S-VHS input. Should a use this one ?

          Yes !

S-VHS has two separate lines for luminance and chrominance giving a higher bandwidth resulting in richer colors and sharper details ...

If you can switch between FBAS (RCA jack) and Y/C (S-VHS), you should hook up both lines and toggle between both connections ...

You'll rub your eyes once you've seen the difference !

            Hi Cypro...

Looks like you solved the stuttering?

Use the S-VHS cable, by all means! OK, it's not smart to use S-VHS cable if the distance covered by it is more than 10 meters, but if it is under 10 m, go for it... you should experience more lively colours, and better pic. clarity. The difference isn't drastical, but since you can connect your G400 S-VHS output to something - do it
