Clone mode: Same image on both monitors (good for gaming on the TV)

DVDMax: Video streams are played full screen on TV. (I use this feature the most of all DH options)

Zoom: Define and area on your main monitor, and that area will be zoomed up to full screen on the second monitor (awesome for jpeg editing)

yurgis: Please read my previous posts. I clearly stated that the drivers I am refering to are the NT4 drivers that are NOT beta. The win2k drivers are NOT final. How you can condem a card when you KNOW your using beta drivers on an OS that is not oficially out is beyond me. Soon as Feb 17th is here, if that button is not available, then you can start complaining to Matrox until then, kindly dont. But you notice that the options for making popups apear on only one display are there, so you DIDNT look before you started ranting huh?

Yurgis, probably you should upgrade Windows 2000. Also check if you use latest Win2K-driver for G400.

Look at my Multi-display properties - there're maximize cotrols.

BTW, DualHead Multi-display in Win2K is incompatible with some application, for example Corel PhotoPaint.

Great news. So the only issue they will still have is taskbar which still ALWAYS occupies both screens, and incompatibility with some applications.
BTW, does anybody know where I can find the release drivers for Win2K. I know they are already in the build 2195, but it will be realesed only in a month. But I would like to install release drivers NOW on my Beta Win2K (build 2128)
There is no such drivers on the Matrox home page, of course. I just hope they already leaked. :-)

There's no way to fix the taskbar problem - we'll all have to wait for Microsoft to support multiple outputs for single cards in - hopefully - the next point release of Win2k.

yurgis you're using build 2128 and complaining? At least try a later build before you rant dude... And i don't think the release drivers will work on 2128 anyhow, since a lot was disabled in that build. (At least based on my development experiences on 2128)

As for Goofball: I'm not sure about running a full screen vis with the DH under NT since so far it has to be the same resolution/scan freq... (unless you can run the geiss at that high and not kill your system 8-)...
I'll have to try that on 98 tonight though...

KaosDG, it's very intersting to me just HOW I can use later version than 2128 if it still not reased OFFICIALLY?
The next build 2195 and this is a final build. I guess you have it NOW only as a kind of pirated software.

Yurgis, perhaps you don't know... but i'm a software developer... i don't feel i need to disclose to you who i work for either.
But our products need to run under Win2k or people like you will bitch and whine about lack of support.

Now, if you have 2128, where did *you* get it from? my company got it direct from MSDN, of which we are an enterprise level subscriber.
my company also got 2195 direct from Microsoft.

I only use Win2k to develop on, and the only reason why i have a g400 DH on it is because it has DH support... I need the desktop space.

When i use Zoom feature of DualHead of my G400 to zoom an arbitrary area of desktop to TV i noticed i can select only proportioned area (PAL: 4x3)....

... so i can't ZOOM image of my preferred Win9x GB emulator to TV (GameBoy use 160x144 resolution BUT i can ZOOM only 192x144 or 160x120)!

HOW CAN I ZOOM "ANY" AREA WITH G400????

KaosDG, my company got it directly from MSDN as an enterprise level subscriber too.
However, as far as I know, build 2195 was not shipped yet within MDSN subscription.

The same thing, except that I just cannot use DH without this maximize feature

Get on your company's case to go get 2195 as several people already have it legally through MSDN. In fact it could be downloaded since late last year

Hate to tell ya Yurgis, but I also received my 2195.x release early this month. And we are kinda on the back list from MSDN so we always get junk late. Hell, go buy a Dell today and it's got win2k 2195 on it! YES it is being sold now. As of yesterday to be exact.
