I'm using my old GUS PnP with WDM drivers in windows2000. (damn aureal..)
Works fine for the moment, except I get the well-known sound distorion when the videocard is busy with something. It was a very common problem on Win9X with a PCI/AGP videocard and a ISA soundcard.
In Windows98 I wasn't bothered with this problem (thanks to the real nice ideas behind the GUS) but now, the WDM drivers only use the GUS's CODEC which does suffer the problem.
In Win9X there was a fix using
PCIChipset=1 in the system.ini, but Windows2000 is a different beast.
Does anybody know how tho fix this? I'm using the drivers that came with Win2K build 2195 for my G200
