  • G400 MAX & AGP4x

Last I checked they were 4X boards. Check the part numbers for '4A'.
    -ie. -G4+MMDH4A32GR - is 4X
    -and -G4+MMDHA32GR - is 2X

I have my MAX already 2 months or so, and it's AGP 4x. I bought it in a store, not online. So you won't risk buying a AGP2x online, because generally the ones sold online are the newer ones.

      G400 MAX & AGP4x

Does anyone know if the G400s being sold on the Matrox website are the 4x ones? Or the earlier crippled ones? The part number listed on their website doesn't match the one shown on matroxusers.com...

      Thanks

I believe all the G400 boards currently being sold at Matrox web ARE AGP 4x transfer capable...

The part number from the Matrox site is:
          G4+MMDHA32GR

          No "4A" in the middle.

As well, I sent an e-mail to Matrox, but they haven't responded yet.

Well, I decided not to wait for them to e-mail me back, so I called them instead. Graphics tech support said that they should be the 4x ones and that the Canada shopping site probably just wasn't updated (the US site shows proper 4x).

But the guy said call sales anyway, so I did. And he said that it "should" be a 4x...

So, I ordered it. It'll be here soon, and I'll let you all know if it is or not.
