Display Properties with G400 Max

When I go to change the display proprties I get a maximum screen area, most of the time, of 1024x768. However on some occassions I get the option of much higher screen areas. If I change to a higher one at the time it works fine. However when I next start my pc it defuals back to 800x600 and only gives me a maximum screen size of 1024x768 again.
Does anyoe know whats going on? Also how can I keep the much higher screen areas?

Have you tried specifying your specific monitor type with W98 (not 'Plug and Play')?

Yes. I loaded the drivers directly from my Taxan disk. I also downlaoded the latest drivers from Taxan just in case. My monitor is a Ergovision 730 TCO95.

That's a pretty strange problem. I don't have a clue why it would behave this way. You could try removing and reinstalling PowerDesk.
Alternatively, to work around the problem, you could download <a href="http://www.entechtaiwan.com">Entech</a>'s PowerStrip - it will allow you to override the Windows and Matrox monitor settings.
