Revision B MAX - differences?

I just bought another MAX which is revision B, according to the PCB. As far as I can see the only obvious difference is that the fan has three wires rather than two and is a different make. It also points the other way.

Anyone know what the third wire is for? I doubt it is for RPM monitoring, I suspect it may be a thermistor-governed speed control...hmmm...

Any other differences in the Rev. B board that anyone knows about?

The later rev A boards also have the three wired fan. It's for rpm monitoring but unused. The rev B boards may be AGP4X, check the card's part number for '4A'.

Oh, so it is for RPM...how boring. How did you find that out?

Yes, it is AGP 4x enabled - will be a bit wasted on my BP6, but there you go.
