  • Remember Fastvid?

It´s a DOS TSR program that increases graphic performance in Pentium Pros and Pentium IIs. I tried it some time ago with DOS Quake and Redneck Rampage with my G200 and the speed increased a lot! I had a few random Windows lockups, though...

I´d like to know if someone has used it in DirectX/OpenGL with satisfactory results, with a G200 AGP, preferably.

    Thanx

ALWAYS (ahem, well, almost) the latest Powerdesk and DirectX.

FastVid enables USWC (write combining) just like the 'Use write combining...' option in Matrox PowerDesk. So there's no need to use FastVid with W9x/NT4/W2K. Just make sure the PowerDesk setting is enabled.

Further more, many mainboard BIOSes include the same option for DOS mode.
