I was the one asking for help on eliminating these purple-colored pixels/artifacts showing up around icon buttons in Windows Explorer and Windows Media Player. After trying another G400 Max AND another BF6 motherboard, the problems remained and I had basically decided to give up and just live with this until someone emailed me with the solution: In the BIOS, change the SDRAM Leadoff Command from '3', which the default, to '4'. And that fixed the problem. Finally!!!!!
Thanks again to all on this forum who gave their input. Now, can someone explain to me why this SDRAM Leadoff Command is so important, and whether this is a common setting to change??
