Installing PowerDVD 2.5.5 in win2k

Anyone had problems installing PowerDVD 2.5.5
in Win2k. I start setup and installshield count up to 100% close the window and notting
else happens.
I have the same problems with WinDVD.

I installed PowerDVD v2.5.5 in Win2K RTM here, and no problem at all... I only regret the fact that PowerDVD can't use the hardware DVD-decode capabilities of the G400. I've looked all over the web, but only the DVD player tthat was bundled with the G400 supports it, and that one can't play vob files from my HDD. (please correct me if I am wrong, I am very interested in an alternative)
