I installed my old Millennium G200 in my brother's computer alongside his ATi All-In-Wonder. The idea was that, even though he only has one monitor, he can use the G200 AGP for his primary when he runs 3D, and most 2D, stuff, and then if he needs to use the ATi's Video In/Out features, he can restart and change the BIOS setting to "Initialize PCI Slot Display First."
The problem is that, even after some fiddling, Windows hangs after startup. (The "fiddling" to which I refer is an entry in 386Enh of system.ini to appease the ATi drivers.) If the Matrox is the primary and ATi is secondary, the system will hang on startup, right before (or right after) the Matrox taskbar tray icon appears. If it's the ATi, it will startup fine, but will hang if I try to go to Display->Settings (to modify resolution, dual display support, etc.). The secondary display, however, says (in text mode) that it is initialized correctly.
Any ideas on fixing this problem?
