  • can i run 2x agp w/ my card??

im using an asus p5a mother board,k62 400 cpu 128mb of ram I downloaded a utility to check how my matrox g400 32 mb non max card do..and found out that its only runnin on 1x agp anyway of making it run on atleast 2x..4x if possible?

First off... you'll never see AGP4x on that MB. Secondly you won't see any difference in 1x vs. 2x except in benchmarks.

User RegHacks that you can get from this site, merge them with your registry if you want to force AGP 2x.. Warning though, might be unstable..

I've a set up just like yours, kinda wondering what are the inputs out there from those that have set up such a system..

framerates, problems? Any input or tricks?

Speeder, if you are running an Athlon system it is wise to go with the 300 watt PS. Definitely can't hurt.

For this mobo, you will only get AGP 2X properly if you got the ALI AGP patch version 1.65e installed and frame buffer posted write option disabled in your BIOS

Has anyone tried what Zwisch has mentioned? I'll try it later when I get home but thought I'd ask in the meantime. I also have asus p5a w/ g400 and 1x agp.

We have two P5A at work and they are now running in 2X with these settings.
