G400 32mb & 3dSVIZ3

HI! I've this pc:
- PIII 500 on SOYO SY-6vba MB
- 128 MB SDRAM
- G400 32mb
I've updated all the components (MB, BIOS, PD, etc.) with the lastest version drivers.
My problems is:
With openGL applications (like 3ds or LightScape) the system is very unstable. Sometimes it stop since I run another applications; sometimes the system crash; sometimes the applications close.
I read that matrox OPENGL support is insufficient but I hope...
Any suggestion?
