Sadly, the hickups under G200s introduced sometime after PD5.30 is still there... So I'm back to the old trick of combining newer driver files with old PD version.
Just for the record: My setup is
G200 PCI 16 MB, AMD K6-III 400 MHz, ASUS T2P4 Rev 3.1, SBlive Value, Studio PCTV, RealTek 8029 ethernet adapter, AVM Fritzcard PnP, 64 MB, 2 HD, Zip drive, DVD ROM...
GlowStar: Sad to hear this, they should get that fixed! LOL for the next PD!
G400 owners:
I've updated the driverpack (G400 only) to v1.3 including the new PD which is quite cool! (www.paraknowya.de)
They've fixed some bugs in the new PD including some GP problems some have been waiting for. Try em! Official drivers for G100, G200, G400 (4.3MB) driverpack for G400 only (2.9MB)!
Well Helevitia, I'm seeing that they still don't work with the G200 UT in Direct3D.
And not that I want to start a whine thread or anything, but it does kinda aggravate me that this glaring error which was reported with the 5.50 beta's is still there in a "release" version of the drivers.
So thats my rant, I've already switched back to my 5.41/5.30 hybrid. Sigh...

The new drivers seem to be the most stable for me since 5.30. UT is much smoother, guess the DX optimizations they did are paying off. Guess I use this one for a while and see if they hold up over time.

Hey HedsSpaz,
On your UT problems... Do you get a black screen with no textures rendered?? (except for Guns, Ammo, etc)
Well the solution as was given to me is not with the Drivers but with UT...
go into the Preferences (in console, type Preferences) and then Rendering and D3D and on the MultiTexture item, make it False...
This fixed my G200 with UT, and it works Very well now... getting pretty decent frame rates with the 5.50(gonna try the 5.52 soon)...
Hey Stringy, yep, thats exactly whats happening. Turn off multitexturing you say? I read that trick for simple performance tweaks on PlanetUnreal. I tried it with PD5.41 but I didn't really like the way it looked and it didn't increase my performance all that much.
If you say that it fixes the problems under 5.50 though I'll give it a shot and see what happens.
Unfortunately I really shouldn't do so right now. I've got a 6-10 page paper due tommorow by noon which I haven't even started yet. So maybe I'll give it shot later this evening after I've gotten a few pages written.
I just tried that "UseMultitexture=False" trick with the 5.52 drivers and it works fine, but with the DX7 D3D .dll for UT (http://unreal.epicgames.com/Direct3D.htm) the multitexture thing doesn't work, the textures still show up as black.
Argh seems like you beat me to it.
I wanted to post a new driver released thread and shine.
But alas that is what i get for living in South Africa right?
Hehe
You all may think this is not important.
BUT IT IS AMATTER OF LIFE AND DEATH!
