  • G200 Lock up In Windows 9x and Windows 2000 when boot up..

I have already disconnect every thing except CPU, RAM, G200 and Harddisk....
Every time when I try to boot into windwos 9x, it will hang up in the Windows loading screen. But if I disable the logo in MSDOS.SYS, every thing is ok.
But for Windows 2000 (release version form MSDN), it will hang up during the first Detect hardware screen......
The most strange thing is that sometimes I can get pass that screen, if I just quit from another Windows 9x successful boot.
After I install Windows 2000 by that, I will hang up after I choice boot Windows 2000, but for sometimes(about 5%), after I quit from a Windows 9x successful boot, I can get in the Windows 2000.
    Can anyone help me?
My mother board is MVP3E from EPOX, K6-2 300, G200.
I never overclock the CPU, and I have the most update BIOS.
Also I am sure both windows can read all parition as sometime they can boot up...
    Thanx for any kind help.

It looks like you have your computer set up to dual boot. Now, I've never set this up, but I'm ready to learn something new here. Do you have FAT32 on the Win98 partition and NTFS on the Win2K partition? Could this be a problem? Do you have all drivers on both partitions or have you maybe left one off in Win2K? These questions might help someone who has experience with dual booting give you some assistance.
