  • G400 IRQs won't change

I've heard that the G400 should be on IRQ 10,11 or 12... So, I tried switching mine from 5 (it always seems to install there) but to no avail. I'm running win98. How do I switch the IRQs?

You change that in the BIOS of your motherboard.
Go to the PnP/IRQ settings page, and assign an IRQ (9 or higher...9 is best)to the first PCI slot. You can also set IRQ5 to legacy in the PnP settings, so the G400 won't even try to grab it.

      Thanks Kruzin...

Do I need to reinstall the card after I change the mb bios settings?

No. Switching IRQs in the bios doesn't require re-installing anything (hardware or drivers)
