1152x864 85 hz need it now!!!

please matrox give us the setting 1152x864 85hz!
i do not care about the games i just want to use that resolutie and NOT 1152x864 75 hz!!!!
i had to trow in a viper 550 and that realy sucks but he let me use the setting 1152x864 85 hz !!!!
it takes far to long to wait for powerdesk 6.1 because it is also possible in the current driver.

Since you mention PD 6.1, I assume your OS is Win2K...

This will get you by until Matrox gets their Win2K driver in order: (you shouldn't need this for WinNT4 or Win9x- but it would work there too)

Try Powerstrip, get the 2.64.03 off the "news" page:

One the startup form, select "custom refresh rate" (you may have to start it a 2nd time after install to get this form.) It doesn't have the most intuitive UI, but it works. I'm now happily at 120 Hz w/ my G200 at 1152x864 in Win2K.

Select "auto run" for it to run on login and switch to your refresh rate automatically.

The 75Hz limitation is a bummer. I ended up doing the 1280x960 hack to get 85Hz. This ultimately worked best for me because that happened to be my favorite resolution when I used to run Win 9x. 1280x1024 has always sucked on my Sony 400PS, I get nasty black borders around the screen and every looks "stretched" when I adjust image for full screen.

I've been told 75Hz, even 60Hz, is very tolerable, but I have sensitive eyes and anything less than 85Hz is very noticeable to me.

Matrox has given me that.....I've been using 1152X864 at 85 Hz since the day I got my G400Max. Works great on Sony GDM F400.

Under monitor setting, you can choose any refresh rate you want, so long as your monitor and the G400 supports it. At 1152X864 32-bit, I can push it up to 108hz!

in win98 i can use all the setting i want but not in win2000 the setting 1152x864 85 hz
that option is not posible only in 75hz wat i find to low on a 17 inch lyama visionmaster pro.

I suggest you check the monior driver..

If win2k found wrong one, It may happen..

It's the monitor that is the difficult thing when it comes to high refresh rates. My monitor will actually go to 130 Hz at 1152X864, but the G200 has some imaging problems- so I set it back to 120Hz.

Memory has nothing to do with refresh rates.

Although my G200 does have 16MB. (a waste of $35)
