Maybe I don'y understand how software DVD players work but...
I had a G200 with 8MB of memory that I used to run at 1280x1024x32. I should mention I use WinDVD as a software decoder. I would have to drop my resolution down to 1024x768x32 in order to run the player or I would get an error message stating that there was not enough video memory - please lower resolution...
So, a few months ago I picked up a G400MAX with 32MB memory. I still get the same error if I attempt to run any higher than 1024x768x32. What do I need so I can watch a DVD in a window while at 1600x1200x32? Perhaps the video memory is not the issue and the error message is a bit misleading.
