It is 32MB AGP card draw too much current PA-2013 can take, you may not be told in
wn98, but clear show in windows2000. Please drop to 16MB one to reach a stable system.

PMTo: FIC MainboardsSubject: PA-2013 rev 2.0 and Apeture
problem in Win2k
Hi I am running Windows 2000 rev 2195 and I have
a PA-2013 Rev 2.0 motherboard which is running the bios JI4323 which your
tech
support mailed to me. Is this is this the best bios to run with Windows
2000?
My problem is that I have a Matrox G400 32 meg AGP card which worked great
under win98. The only way I can get it to work in Win2k is to set the
apeture
size in the bios to 4 megs. Any setting higher than that results in a black
screen at startup. I talked to Matrox tyech support and they told me that
all
of the people they have talked to who had this problem had FIC motherboards.
They suggested that my bios might not be totally Windows 2000 complaint or
ACPI complaint (even though I have my pc set to Standard PC in Win2k). Can
you please help me with this problem? Is it a problem with the bios you sent me?
Is there a better one for Windows 2000? Thx
