WildTangent Teams With Matrox
WildTangent has announced it will collaborate with Canadian-based Matrox Graphics to optimize and enhance WildTangent's 3D technology. Among the products designed for the creation of 3D web content is the WildTangent Game Driver, unveiled March 11 during the Game Developer Conference. Using Direct3D, the driver enables developers to create streaming multimedia content for the web. Furthermore, the Matrox Developer Relations Group will collaborate with WildTangent engineers to ensure that content developers will be able to leverage all of Matrox’s 3D acceleration technologies.
In related news, WildTangent also announced today that its investors have infused the company with $17 million dollars in new funds. This second round of financing will enable WildTangent to evolve its technology, reach a broader community of web content developers, and establish itself as a platform for online multimedia content delivery, the company said in a press statement.
