Are there other people here who have the following problem with an Athlon on a Asus K7M:
After working some time in 2D under Windows 2000 with the latest drivers, the screen gets corrupted. Going to the fullscreen command prompt and back again fixes the problem. But after a few minutes the same thing happens, on a regulary basis.
I don't use 3D or a game because they simply crash. Just programming under Windows 2000 using Microsoft Visual Studio 98. I only have this problem under Windows 2000, not Windows 98 SE.

). But I didn't attempt to install Win2K, I could hardly get it to run. However, I do know that I had to perform a Registry Hack to force AGP 2X. Or I would get what's someone here dubbed "plaid death" on cold boot. Do you have AGP enabled? I ask because this sounds like a Direct Draw issue of sorts. I'm not even sure if there is an AGP miniport driver available for Win2K to use with this board. So I'm afraid I'll have to do some "digging around".
