Matrox G400 Max on a Gigabyte 6vx-ax. Supported?
Hi there, I'm having trouble with my G400 Max in conbination with my new Gigabyte 6vx-4x motherboard. The problem is that at random, using win98se, I get black screens with no signal to the monitor. The machine is still on but to bring it back to life all I can do is a hard reboot...
I've read about the integrated BIOS in new Gigabyte motherboards to support their version of the g400 card. Could this be conflicting with my Matrox Max? Anybody know how to disable it?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
My configuration:
PIII 550E
Gigabyte 6vx-4x motherboard
G400 Max Dual head
2x128Mb Crucial RAM (PC133)
Quantum Atlas IV 18Gb
