I've got an old Sony GDM-20D10 monitor sitting here that I'd like to be using as my primary display. Unfortunately, it needs a relatively high sync to function properly (1280x1024 works, 1024x768 may, I'm not sure). Anyway, my question is, does anyone know of a way to modify the BIOS so it starts in a higher resolution? I know there's at least one higher text based resolution (it's 1100 or so by something in the 700's I think).
Otherwise, I think I'm just going to forego the BIOS screens and tell Linux to switch the resolution when the kernel loads.
Thanks,
Jeff
