Ok, my last reply got lost. Grr...
I can verify that "r_smp 1" still does not work. HOWEVER, programs that were crashing before do not now. 3DMark2000 was randomly crashing unless I gave it a particular processor affinity. Now it runs flawlessly (well, as flawlessly as these drivers allow). Quake3 has crashed almost not at all, at least in "r_smp 0". And I no longer have to reboot in single processor mode!
So SOMETHING is different.
