No success updating Matrox DVD player

I've tried several times to update my Matrox DVD player using the current Cinemaster engine. I've followed the instructions on the various DVD websites to a T, but I always get an error message (kernel debugger, etc.) and a program crash. I end up downgrading back to the version that came with my G400. I've use DVDGenie to try to facilitate the upgrade, to no avail.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I had no problems when upgrading to version 2.0.37.6359, but couldn't upgrade to 2.0.36.xxxx

I have updated my matrox dvd player (cinemaster) with no problems too. I did it in win98, just copied some new dll's over to the right directory and poof, the matrix special features worked. I haven't tried for win2k yet, maybe that is your problem?
