Didnt notice any references in the readme's that these 5.06.xx beta drivers are for Marvel G400/G200 RRG... Installed like a charm to my system with G400MAX ??

So who is wrong here ? =)

PeTe check the Matrox Latest Drivers Page.
The readme files are mostly 'static' and do not contain specific release information (that's why Haig started with seperate release notes).

I've tested the 4.06 drivers on my G400 32MB DH, and they work fine. I don't see any improvements over the 5.04, but I haven't extensively tested them yet. Maybe they only contain added functionality for the Marvel series

Where you will see - This driver is only intended for use with the 2.00.012 Win 2K Video Tools.

It will probably work fine without our capture cards but these display drivers only went thru the video testing cycle.

Does that mean that you guys fixed that annoying flip/reverse problem with tvo and DVD? And the Powerdesk processor usage problem when watching DVD's and then changing resolution/depth using the desktop schemes?

The reverse DVD problem is fixed. I don't know about the 2 bugs you mentioned. The only powerdesk issue that comes close to what youa re referring to is the amount of reg hits we are doing.

I hope the openGL driver is much better, faster, and more stable in the 6.10 release for win2K
