  • In-game refreshrates in Win2K

    Hi,

When playing games in Win2K, my G400's refreshrate is stuck at 60Hz. This is causing some very nasty tearing :-/
Anyone know how I can crank the refreshrates up to 75Hz?

    Greets,
    Jorg

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I *REALLY* don't think your refresh rate has anything to do with the tearing.

Why do today what you can put off until tomorrow? But why put off until tomorrow what you can put off altogether?

      Hi,
      Click Start>Run
Type 'dxdiag' in the run box without the quote marks.
      Click the 'More Help' tab.
      Click the 'Override' button.
Now enter the refresh rate of your choice, mine being 85.

        Hi,

spooge: Tearing occurs when your refreshrate cannot keep up with the number of frames per second. That's why there's something like V-sync: It makes sure that the frames are synced with your refreshrate.

paul: thanks for the tip! Will go try that now ;-)

        Greets,
        Jorg

          You're kidding, right? )

Well FMITGA (adam sandler...think about it). Didn't really know about that, but until you are corrected, I stand corrected.
