New BIOs update for Matrox G400s questions...

I looked at the BIOS notes on http://www.matrox.com/mga/drivers/bios/home2.htm, and it doesn't sound like there any updates in the BIOS. It looks like only changes are in the upgrade program. Am I reading this correctly? I look forward to receiving replies.

If you really had a look at ftp://ftp.matrox.com/pub/mga/archive/bios/2000/109notes.txt

you would have read:

System Utilities version 1.09.001.
This release contains updated BIOSes for G200 and G400 as well as updated utilities.

This release is for G200 and G400 only.

This utility contains the following:

Heres the fixes

- Changed way the Backup.bin is created
- Fix bug where Progbios will crash when a Meteor (Imaging) and a MGI board is installed in the same system

Those are only the fixes for the software utils. As far as the bios, no mention of fixes there..

I am sitting tight with my current bios. Unless something concrete is listed, the current bios has been in use for many many months without problems across many people's systems. I would wait until the new bios shakes out.
