What's the problem with Win2k Muli-monitor support ?

I searched through all of the Help and Support stuff on MS's page, but couldn't find much on it. From what I can gather the problem forces you to run the same resolution on both desktops, and the refresh rate on the 2nd monitor can't be controlled? Can anyone fill me in further on the details.
