Hi!
Last night I put together a new
machine with:
ASUS P3V4X + PIII600EB
G400MAX
SB Live Platinum
Tekram 390F
3C905C-TX (MBA version, not quite what I intended, but cheap!)
256MB Hyundai CAS-3 PC133
IBM 75GXP 30GB
Aopen 52x CD
All in an Aopen HQ08
I have gotten around to doing any D3D/OpenGL testing yet but PCILIST says that MB/G400 supports AGP4X and currently using 2x.
After enjoying an agonizingly slow Win98 installation (even slower than on a 486) I went to bed and when booting it this morning noticed that the L1-cache had been turned off
The actual problem is that whenever I do a warm boot (rebooting W98 for example) my monitor (a Nokia 447Zi) goes into powersave mode and don't react anymore until I turn it off and on again. Very irritating when you are trying to enter bios setup after one of these boots and of course actually using anything at all after the boot. Anyone got an idea ?
I also wonder a bit about the absense of any boot information from the G400. The good old Mystique used to print BIOS version and some copyrights.
BIOS upgrade solves this or what ?
