No overclocking at this time, I figured I needed to get it to work at default settings before increasing anything. I do have interleaving on in BIOS on this KA7 with KA7_42 BIOS, so I'll play with that and see what happenens when I return.

    Thanks for the post!

      I have tried the following:

      Installation on the C: partition
      Memory interleaving = 4way
      memory interleaving = 2way
      memory interleaving = none

None of these adjustments make any difference - if Athlon opt or 3DNow opt is chosen, it crashes back to the desktop either as the first Hellfire missle is launched or when the missle hits the enemy helicopter, if I choose software T&L, it runs all of the helicopter tests but crashes with an error msg that dorf.ldb is corrupted. If I try to run the demo, it also gives the dorf.ldb error msg.

Any other ideas what might be wrong? I have 256 MB Corsair hidensity memory modules (2X128) in slots 0,1 and don't have any problems running the ZD benchmarks (CC2000, WS99), nor do I have any hangs or error msgs during normal use. The cpu is a retail 800 and has a VOS-32 hs - highest seen cpu temp on the probe is 95F with a mb reported temp of 80F.

I have a G400max on a p3-550e running at 710mhz (at 133fsb my max drops to 1x agp on some games, others its fine at 2x, so I currently sit at 129fsb).

        At 1024x768 I get 3350.

          John,

Check Mad Onion's website. There is a bug in 3D Mark 2000 that causes it to exit without an error when the missiles are fired. This occurs only on W2k.

When running with the default settings I get
            3299.

This on an Athlon 950 overclocked to 1050, G400 Max. The G400 is not overclocked.

Just overclocked the card to 160 using MGATweak. Memory timing left @200(with SGRam optimizations) and the score has gone upto: 3477.

This is no where near some of the scores posted with the newer 3D chipsets. However I think the only card that could tempt me away from Matrox is the V6000 but only if its not overpriced.

                Hi guys,

I've spent some time tweaking my system this weekend, and so far my max score is 3437 3DMarks on my Pentium III 600E@800EB with a Matrox Millennium G400 DualHead 32 (@120% or 150/200). I'll try to see if I can get a little higher... maybe OC'ing the G400 with 125%? So long...

Update: I get 3486 3DMarks at 123%... if I go higher, the picture starts corrupting. I guess I've reached my limit :-(

                Best regards

2772 for me with default 3D Mark 2000.

Nothing overclocked yet, will play later this week.

BTW, this was based on a single run through; do you guys loop a certain # of times for your scores?

                    My score: 1223 .
I have got a celeron 400, 128mb mem , abit mobo, 13,5 gb hd , g400 32mb oem. Seems i am the king of low scoring Suggestions about upgrading my processor, since i think that is the limiting factor?

Woutur - it looks like your processor is the limiting factor - to see a good increase I would suggest upgrading to a PIII - this should fit your motherboard and supplies you with the new streaming instrustion set which should increase you score dramatically - my old celeron system jumped from 45 fps under the game sections of 3Dmark 99 to a rather better 75 fps with a PIII 550.

                            Well TTCharon,

I think I'm pretty close at beating your score, but right now I can't seem to go any higher than 123% on my Matrox Millennium G400 DualHead 32. I get 3486 3DMarks with my Pentium III 600E@800EB so I'm still 32 points behind you :-(

                                Hi again...

Now I'm at 3508 3DMarks... I don't think I'm gonna go higher with my G400 now (it's at 123,5%)... I guess this leaves it up to my processor now...

Well, good battle to you guys :-)
