  • G400 in AGP2X slot

OK, this is probably a really simple question. Right now, I have a G200 on my P2B. I'd like to buy a G400MAX. Would it be possible to put this in the AGP2X slot of the P2B? I believe I read somewhere that the specification for AGP4X reversed the slot, so as to stop it from being plugged into AGP2X slots. Thanks

There should be no problem. It makes no difference. All AGP 4X boards are backwardly compatible. They would have to be to work in BX boards, like yours or the board manufacturer would lose an awful lot of money.

Solo - No problem, all of my G400 MAXs are in AGP 2X slots. Work fine.
