Dagoth Moor benchmarks

I ran Dagoth Moor Zoological Gardens on my G400. Wasn't as slow as I expected it to be.

System:
Matrox G400 16mb SH
Celeron 366 @ 550
128MB RAM

Benchmark: 19.7 fps

But the instalation should put a folder in start->programs->WXP->DMZG Benchmark

This benchmark is kinda a shoot on the foot by Nvidia. Yes, it uses T&L. T&L is built on DX7, so it uses DX7 T&L routines. If no capable hardware is present, it uses software T&L, wich uses SIMD (SSE and 3dNow!) very efficiently.

So I think almost 40 fps in a Nvidia demo specially coded for that video card that would turn all the others obsolete is preety flatering for a G400+Athlon 600 (not quite the faster cpu nowadays)

Thanks for your help Maggi.

It runs fine, but I can´t say I´m all that impressed with "the graphics of future games".

There might be som more polygons here and there, otherwise it looks just like the current crop of games.

No need for new hardware, yet.
The coppermine 600@800 does a good job.
