  • cooling the Matrox

Soon i'll have a Matrox G400DH. I've seen there no active cooling on it. Will the standard cooling do the job or should i put a fan on it ? I'm not going to overclock it.

if yer not gonna O/C it, then certainly the Std. cooling supplied by Matrox will to the job...

It depends on your system cooling.

I used the passive cooling and it worked fine until I upgraded to an Athlon processor. That dumped so much heat to my case that I had to add a slot fan next to the G400 to exhaust some of the hot air from my case. It's working great, now.
