maybe i'm dumb
I installed the new drivers for win2k and yet I still am stuck with one "big ass" monitor instead of "true" dual monitors. Did I do something wrong or was this problem not fixed with this driver release. Please excuse my ignorance.

Win2k sees the 2 monitors as one large desktop. The problem lies in win2k not in the display drivers. -
Well that's fine, but that's the reason why I yanked the G400 in the first place. I guess I am dumb. Time to put my GF2 and Viper 550 back in. Win 2000 doesn't see them as one big desktop. Thank you. Sorry if I inconvenienced you.Comment
