  • How to upgrade to 5.10?

Ok, Nuno reports that cleaning his machine of the old drivers and reinstalling 5.10 seems to have helped. So enlighten me... how does one do this in Win2k?

I have a feeling that Jorden is about to tell me to go read the FAQ's... hehe.

But seriously... just delete all the files that are in the driver archive, and then there are some registry keys, right?

The easy way: Check out for a file named pduninst.exe in \winnt\system32\
Don´t ask me how it got there

Manually: Delete the OEMx.inf and OEMx.pnf from \winnt\inf\ . x is a number, look at the all the .inf named oem you´ll find what you´re looking for.
Go to device manager and unninstall the G400. Reboot. The G400 will not be detected. Install plain VGA drivers as prompted. Search for g400*.*, matrox*.*, mga*.*, pd*.* both in the disk and in the registry. Delete all entries. Now install 5.10.
At least for me, doing a proper cleaning, Q3 now runs fine.
