Edge AA ignores texture aliasing, there is little room for it to be better than FSAA from what I can tell.

I'd like to see references to edge AA and how it can be better than FSAA.

      I have a Voodoo5-5500.

      I have a G400 MAX.

I would rather play Half-Life at 4x FSAA, at 800x600, on the V5-5500, than play on the G400 MAX at 1024x768.

      It's that good.

FSAA does come in handy for certain games, but does nothing for others. UT doesn't care - it looks the same with or without, Q3A I can't tell. HL and Thief it does wonders for.

      Just my $0.02

I just got a v5500 yesterday and am comparing it to my current g400max. You have to see fsaa to beleive it, screen shots do not help. On top of removing jaggies, the moving images have less jumping and shimmering.

the 2d and 3d quality are on par with the g400max (the v5500 has a 350 ramdac). I dont see any quality differences, on a 19" sony 400ps at 1200 resolution.
I am very impressed. And on my p3-800@896, my frame rates increased quite a bit. Even with 4x-fsaa its faster than my g400max.

I think the g400max may go on ebay.

          Get the game messiah
          Update to the latest Patch
          Turn on FSAA.
          Notice the difference.

          P.S. It works on a G400.
