  • DVD problems...

    Hi,
I have a G200+DVD+TVO+RRG+MEM combo in a SS7 mobo. Currently I'm using PD5.41 drivers. Everything plays fine with MGI's SoftDVDMax 3.x except for Ronin(R2) and Bug's life(R2). These titles freeze after selecting _any_ option from the menu. Anyone experienced the same problem? PowerDVD2.5 seem to work fine, but it's software only and the quality is... you know.
    Thanx in advance,
    Chris

    Thanx,
Seems I'll have a long long weekend. Installing driverz(maybe that stoopid win).
I'll try that Ravisent player next week...
    THX again,
    Chris

        Ganyaik:

I hope you're running the new PD6.x betas and the latest VidTools. Many improvements in performance over the old 5.41's especially for DVD Decoding and 3D apps. The Ravisent Cinemaster 2000 (full version) really likes this driver combo...No problems of any kind that I can find on my SS7 rig.

Just remember to reset your region code (even if correct) prior to uninstalling the OEM DVD software, and uninstall it FIRST, then run the Matrox uninstaller. Then reinstall Drivers, Vidtools, OEM DVD Navigator, and lastly the Ravisent Cinemaster 2000.

Although you're not prompted to do it, you need to reboot after the OEM DVD Navigator is installed and prior to the Ravisent package.

          Hi,
I'll try that this week. Thanks for advice. But I reckon that before I reinstalled win I tried PD6. The only "effect" was that the DVD "menubuttons' hotspots" were not exactly at their place. They were shifted by some pixels. Anyway I'll give it a try, maybe with this fresh install they will work.
But first I have to "purchase" Ravisent 2000. It will take some time.
