Hi Andrei

I came accross an Intel SE440BX-2 board some time ago. I remember it has an option like "LOGO" or "Show bootlogo" or something like that. It can be found on the first bios-page, or the one before the last page (save settings etc.)

I haven't got Acrobat installed so I can't look to it any further right now (downloading the pdf-manual from intel ). Perhaps you can dig up the manual from your board...

Different cards can put up with different stresses. Just because one card isn't getting dinged-up, doesn't mean squat. I was kind of hoping you would put up some system specifications, then maybe we could help you a bit more.

Err just becaused an I740 worked before doesn't mean that your motherboard hasn't broken since.

My brother-in-law had a similar problem, his matrox cards kept losing thier Bios. He ended up getting a UPS and hasn't had any problems since.

Thanks for all you guys who replied to my post. After almost one and a half month of blank screen during POST session and after trying out numerous suggestion and ideas - I GIVE UP !!!
Just send the card back to the dealer for repair.
Anyway , agian thanks for all the respond.

Actually the option was on the Boot page, Show diagnostic screen (Enable).

I'm very sorry I see this so late, but I got the exact problem on the same MSI 6163 Pro with a celeron 366@550 (bus 100), again the same as you. The problem comes from this : the AGP bus speed it's 1/1 in the OC matter unless u switch the jumper SW2 (i think if i am not mistaking) and after that the AGP multiplier will be 2/3, AGP bus 66 and everything wil be fine. I was OC-ing the hell out of my marvel card and in winter an lower temp it seems to be ok but when the summer comes, black post screen until windows initializes desktop. If you keep it too much at this speed, maybe the BIOS will be fryed forever, so...good choice with that switch but watch it with the next card. Get a good info program (I got sandra 2000) and chek your AGP bus ASAP. Hope this helps
