  • Hacked G200 drivers

Some people still wonder why Matrox didn't release some updated G200 drivers, as the last release is 6 months old. Plenty of time for fixes you could guess.
At www.ntcompatible.com I found this link:
    http://homepage.ntlworld.com/mark.gillespie/

He made a driver package based on the 5.06 drivers and claimes that some problems he had are solved.

I know I will give them a try
    Good luck!

Why don't you try the official beta drivers from Matrox themselves ???
    http://www.matrox.com/mga/drivers/files/w2k_vt200.htm

I know, following that link might suggest you those were only for Marvels & RR-G combos, but as you should know, there are quite a few G200s out there, bundled with the RR-G and hence those drivers should definitely work also on G200s without the RR-G ...

    Just a thought ...

I would have to give you a point there

Checked out the content: only difference is the lack of G400 dll's and the addition of Mgaum.sys. The other files seem to be the same.

I guess I have been too hasty on this.
I got tempted by a driver already released...
      Can I count on forgiveness

By the way, where did the usual "It's driver day" threads go?
