Can anyone tell me if there are any updated G200 files within this release? I guess that at 4.0 Mb in size, they are there.

Yep the setup programme is knackered back to the old way off installing drivers.

Same here setup.exe causes a page-fault in itself. I just hope the drivers have some improvements.

It seems the new beta fixed the Everquest "floating textures" bug in Win98. But now Counterstrike has a wierd texture jitter problem, and what almost looks like the UT z-buffer bug when zoomed all the way in with a sniper rifle.

That texture jitter is gone in later betas.

err, no it's not. There are in house betas. The one you have is actually quite old.

Ah, strange, the 6.01 beta's no longer up on the Matrox site...

I'll also add this, the version I'm using now was listed as 6.01, drivers version 4.12.01.1610 (1.61.015), PDesk 6.11.031

I think they pulled them earlier today. Something must be wrong with that build. Anyhow, what I mean is that what you have is the latest "released beta".

Hehe, I see what you're saying. I'll just switch back to 5.52 + TGL 1.30

BTW, for those of you who are wondering what happened to the beta drivers, they got pulled because something went wrong with the setup file when it got zipped (it worked fine before being zipped). They will be fixed and reposted I hear. I guess these things happen

Apparently the mess-up in the setup is caused by one empty line in install.inf, that shouldn't be there.
