DVDMax problem: green bar on bottom of TV

Howcome there is a big green bar (covering about 1/7th of the vertical height) when I play DVD's with WinDVD 2.1 on my TV ?

Crap, I had the same problem and it was a simple setting toggle in Display Properties, and, I can't remember it. It's under DVDMax options I believe. Crap.

I'd tell you if I was on my comp at home.

But, you can search the BBS and you'll find it. Just search for 'green bar'.

Try fooling around with the DVDMax settings, there's one called cropping something or other (PD6.00), that sounds like it could be it.

Hmm, I fooled around with some settings and there is no longer a green bar on my TV.

here are my DualHead settings (under advanced display properties):

* I have DualHead Clone, DVDMax, or Zoom selected.
* I have Use DualHead Clone unselected (so I can keep the full 1152 x 864 resolution on my monitor).
* I have Use DualHead DVDMax selected of course.
* TV standard is NTSC (North America) since I am in the United States.
* DualHead DVDMax Options: Preserve sspect ratio, TV aspect ratio: 4:3 (standard), Aspect ratio detection method: Detect based on video source size, Advanced settings (all checked): Preserve source cropping, Scale only on page flip, Use field based scaling.
* DualHead DVDMax TV Settings - NTSC: Reduce edge flickering.


I just watched 'Africa: The Serengeti' and it is displayed beautifully on both my monitor and my television. (it's a 4:3 dvd)
