6.01 driver prob

i installed the latest driver doing the usual uninstaller routine and found that my comp would not shut down, it just hangs when the display changes from 1024 to whatever for the shutdown message, i mean i just get a black screen and nothing happens, i've even get it after doing a fresh format, but still the same, i've now gone back to using pky's driver set which is very stable ( on my machine ), anyone else got this prob?

Could you explain a little more about your PC? As in what OS you use, what the specs for your PC are, how you uninstalled the other drivers (and which drivers were that)??
