G400: Experience with Maya 2.5 under NT4?

Does anyone with a G400 have Maya 2.5 and Paint effects running stable under NT4? I tried the latest driver release, and maya runs smoothly, but paint effects only runs in "Paint on canvas" mode. "Paint on scene" doesn't work for some reason. The screen just flickers with every refresh...

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
