Oki, all this speaking of the new card, and the BB telling we're going the wrong way.

Now, this is all I can see:
We are expecting a super powerful card with very powerful fill rate and a T&L engine that blow away any other vidcard.
We all know that for having this, we need a new powerful memory subsystem.

Well, what we all are waiting is a Geforce Card with Matrox stamped on.


Now, we all know that Matrox does whatever it wants: "The market is going that direction? Naaahhh, we want to go in the other."
So, let's start thinking really a different way.

First, the name really means nothing for me. I own a "Millenium" G400. First, G400 says nothing about the card. Second, wich feature are indicated from "Millenium"? That the card will be 1000 bit? That will be the fastest card 'till 3000 d.c.?
No, it's simply a name. Like "Fusion". Sounds good, uh? Well, almost for me "Radeon" means nothing. And I prefere a card named "Fusion" that "Radeon" or "GeForce" (the most ridiculous name I have heard so long). No one have ever used an Hercules card as a lever to raise mountain, uh?

This is for me the only reason we are on the wrong way; we've started from a name that means almost nothing and built a new incredible card...


On the other way, we are however allowed to dream.
Well, then let's play the game. What wold be a different way to think???

And, final:
The BB can say anything, even the truth, 'cause we all knows that they are under NDA and we'll never believe a single word from them...
This make the thing really funny!!

Maggi, I had explained really ugly, but it's 'cause I don't know all the words I need, sometimes.

What I mean is...uhmm...that's an example:
nVidia build TNT2. All the spot is on it's speed. TNT2 is the fastest, TNT2 is the powerful, etc.
In the same time, Matrox came out with the G400.
And all Matrox said is "Our board have VCQ, dualhead, and EMBM".
That is. For Matrox, power and speed was obvious, so obvious to not even publicize it!

Now, what I expect from Matrox is something like this:

nVida will came out with a new GeForce 2 version. Spot "We have T&L, we have power, we have speed, we are beauty and good and will save the world from alien"

Matrox will "Our chip feature 64bit color quality and embedded 3d sound calculated from the geometry. Uh, we also have a fractal texture generator, sorry."

"The market is going that direction? Naaahhh, we want to go in the other."

Cloudy: "mannere" isn't in my personal english vocabulary. What the hell does it means?

Rest assured, "mannere" is in no one's English vocabulary. It was a typo. I'm sure Cloudy meant "manners" or "modi."

In this particular context, I suspect it was said in jest.
