• Yellow Vertical Lines

yes, thats right, im getting all the yellow vertical lines all over my desktop.... i know its a hardware thing cos i moved my computer from the kitchen(dont ask) to my bedroom... i must have nudged the card somehow.....

here is my question, when i screw the card into the slot, do i move the card as high as possible, or as low as possible (assuming my comp. is up-right)
because the card can move very slightly up or down, and i tried moving it to different positions but i always get these vertical lines...

i'm sorry if this sounds confusing... try to understand it...

Shouldn't matter, just make sure it is inserted all the way. Same with your memory and processor.

        Hi Nehal,

You might want to try any of the following (or all ):

Remove G200 and clean the contacts with a fine (tooth)brush, and clean the AGP slot as well (One never knows what could have gotten into it, after years in a kitchen... and no, I won't ask ) Then re-insert it.
Remove the drivers and re-install them.
Check your IRQs. Maybe something happened to them. (How to show them to us)
Check for heat. Is it hotter in your room than in the kitchen? Does it have enough cooling?
If there's a fan on your G200, is the fan running when the PC is on?
Did you OC your G200? Tried running it non-OC'ed?
Dust off your G200 (heatsink etc.) and inside of the PC.
Cry
Jord.

Check your VGA connector and make sure you didn't bend/break a pin.
