MATROX: Well, we were extremely pleased with the clockability of the memory used on the G400's to the extent that it didn't really hinder our performance as much as you see some competitors experiencing currently. For every new chip, the objective is to design a balanced architecture between fill rate and memory. Although we really can't comment on future products at this time, DDR memory is on its way to become the mainstream memory of choice amongst hardware manufacturers.


Does this mean no FCRAM in the near future?

In light of what's been going on with them lately I thought this was rather funny:

QUESTION-
FO3D: If you wanted to dispose of your competitors’ PR staff, how would you go about it? (Be careful with this one – you guys move around so much you might end up disposing of yourself!)

ANSWER-
NVIDIA: We don't want to dispose of anybody else's PR staff, as a matter of fact both Derek and Diane are friends with some of the other PR people in the industry. Competition is healthy and it's good for everyone.

Guess they have to find them someplace. Certainly not with any web-masters .
