  • g400+RR or marvel g400 for w2k?

Hi, this is a question from a third person:

I'm going to buy myself a new computer in a few days. I was thinking of
buying either the g400-marvel or a g400+rainbow runner. In the end, it all
boils down to which is best under w2k.

So, which one would you guys recommend to me? Btw, my average usage would
be mostly in 2d, then 3d gaming a tad above video-capture.

Try you question in the DESKTOP VIDEO area; you will get lots of good feedback from the users over there.

The hardware is basicly the same, the drivers are exactly the same, so there is no difference. Both are equally bad under win2k. There are no useable drivers yet for the video capturing.

Mark: I wasn't sure in which of the 2 to post this message and I didn't want to cross-post.

Hunsow: Thanks for the info. I think someone I know will be sad. Hopefully Matrox will get this working soon.

By video capture do you also mean TV-tuner?

        thanks

I don't use the TV tuner, where I live it has no use, but my guess is that it produces the same blurry picture. Matrox says it has fixed it, but as long as they don't release any new beta drivers with the fix it's rather useless. Perhaps a Hauppauge card will be more suited if you don't intend to do serious video editing.
