My G450 so far....

Heh, well, at least I know I'm not alone. I've got an 8mb ATI Rage Pro in my work machine attached to a very nice 19" Dell Flat Screen trinitron. I'm going to bring my old G200 in tommorow and replace it though. I just can't stand the washed out colors and blurry text any longer.

I then spent the day enjoying AutoCAD the way it should be, and annoying my boss by pointing out every little thing the G450 did better than the ATI.

So, did you convince him/her not to buy any more pos ATI cards or systems with pos ATI cards in them?
(I think that falls outside of the NDA range of questions )

Nice. Liked it so much I bought the same setup at home. The LCD's perform nicely with UT, was suprised as though it would look shite. I run UT at 1280 x 1024 and get around 35fps.

well my work computer is a dell piii 866 / 256 megs with a pos ati rage 128 pro 16 meg with a dell 21" trinitron monitor and as soon as the g800 comes out my g400max from home is going in my work computer.

Not to make you all jealous, but I have an Athlon 750 with 256 MB of ram and a Geforce2. Too bad it's connected to a ViewSonic PF77 17" monitor.

Well I work in a computerstore so my work machines warry from old 286's 1MB RAM & crappy VGA to quad 1GHz Xeons 1GB RAM & the best f#$€!%g graphics cards known(MATROX)!

sirfergy, You're not making anyone jealous. You may have a GF2 but if you saw my G400max or G450 on this Cornerstone 21" monitor @1600x1200x2 (3200x1200)you would think again. Instead of dumping profuse amounts of cash into maginally faster gaming cards, why not buy a real monitor? If you did the next comment may be something like, "Uhmm, well, uh, 1280x1024> is alot better on the Matrox G4xx than... ". Shoot even at the MURC Mountain States Lan Party II running Kruzins kids system with a G200 in it, all the VooDudes Tnt2udes screens looked like washed out, gimme my 14" Packard Bell monitor back; make me belch up, you call that a graphics card?! I need another beer!
To repeat, 95% of what everyone does on the pc is 2D. If I'm not with that, then no matter how many more fps Q3 does is going to make me happy.

Hmmm, Athlon 750, let me see, I've been running faster than that for the entire year... even tho my Athlon500@850 seems to be getting a little outdated now, it by no means is showing age.

BTW they do play all games well.

Just to make you jealous:

I'm running an ASUS P2B-D, sporting two P3-600E, 512MB CAS2 PC100 - quite nice that it's connected to two Eye-Q 750 monitors and I had to replace my former 3D Labs GVX-210, because of its crappy DH support by a good & trusty G400 32MB DH ...

and my network card is faster than my SCSI-UW drives and it's called Gigabit ethernet ...
