Dual Head (TV issues)

Hi!
I'm trying to get a picture on my tv from the computer using a S-VHS to SCART cable. I do get a picture but it's black and white. Yes! I have checked (and unchecked) the "black and white" option in DH - preferenses. It doesn't matter if i use Win2k or Win98. I must use the outputcable "Composite - SVHS" otherwise the screen flickers. My tv is a Philips 28PW5324 28" Widescreen. What the hell am I doing the wrong way? Why won't I make it work? Check you have the correct input selected on the telly. When I output to my Hitachi 28" widescreen CT28300TN, I cycle through the inputs using a button on the remote. Just before I get the colour picture, I get a black and white version. I can't remember what the inputs are called.
Did you make the cable yourself? If so what pins did you use?

PS I'd settle for full screen b&w at the moment as it stopped working on Tuesday night - the picture is only in the top half of the screen and kind of folded up on itself
