G400 Max, Win2k, 256 Colors?

Im wondering if its possible to run the G400max at 256 color depth under all resolutions? I am using Win2k with the latest drivers...When I try I get really bad graphical errors all over...Thanks for the replies

Have you tried rebooting after setting the display to 256 colours?

Why do you want 256 colors?

It may be due to the lack of the Alpha Channel(Hardware support) at 256 and 24 bit color.
